IT Graduates will be employed as a Lecturer, responsible for designing, developing, and producing learning and teaching materials, and inspiring discussions. They will ensure the efficient delivery of teaching programs and grading assignments according to the institution's strategy, policy, and procedures. The role involves preparing and delivering lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars, setting and grading assignments, attending and participating in meetings, conferences, and events. The role also involves administrative duties, student recruitment, placements, and retention, and collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand knowledge. Lecturers participate in training opportunities and initiatives, stay current by reading widely, conducting research, and writing papers, proposals, journal articles, and books. They also develop ideas for generating income and promoting the institution. The ideal candidate should have a relevant Honours degree, previous teaching experience, flexibility, resilience, and strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
